Exceleris was the proud Gold level sponsor of the 10th annual 2012 Games for Hope that took place on June 2nd, 2012 at the Olympic Stadium benefitting the Starlight Children’s Foundation Quebec and the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
A number of corporate teams within Montreal got together to raise funds for a great cause in a unique way: a corporate sports tournament. Employees of various organizations around the Greater Montreal area formed teams and competed against one another in volleyball, basketball, floor hockey or soccer. The members of each team were tasked to raise as much money as they could for the various foundations.
Some of the major sponsors at this years’ event include:
- Tarkett Sports
- Beat 92.5
- Dominios Pizza
- And Garda to name a few
The Games for Hope is a non-profit organization who aims to raise funds for a variety of children’s charities as well as to promote local charities work within the community and support research for child illnesses. The fundraising goal for this year was $200,000 which would have marked an increase of $43,000 compared to 2011. We are pleased to announce that 2012 marked a record year with a total of $225,000 raised; $68,000 more than the previous year! Thank you to all who contributed to the cause and to those who came out to partake in the event.
